    US announces $336 million in humanitarian aid for Gaza and West Bank

    MENA Newswire News Desk: The United States has announced an additional $336 million in humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, bringing the total U.S. assistance for the region to over $1 billion since October 2023. The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will facilitate the distribution of these funds through its partners on the ground, addressing a variety of urgent needs as the conflict continues.

The U.S. has steadily increased its humanitarian support for Palestinians over the past year, committing more than $1 billion in total aid since October 2023. The Biden administration has framed these efforts as part of a broader initiative to alleviate suffering and support a path toward long-term peace in the region. USAID highlighted that the humanitarian assistance is being coordinated with international partners to ensure that aid delivery is both effective and efficient.
